Why do you love karting?
I love the adrenaline of pushing myself and my kart to the limit. When the kart takes off it’s such a good feeling. I’ve made so many new friends and I love being part of the community. It’s like a mini holiday every month. It’s so good being part of a supportive team. I get to spend lots of quality time with my nanny and grandad too who love the weekends as much as me 🙂
Have you made any sacrifices?
Karting does take up most weekends so this is my life now. Sometimes friends from school will ask me to go out at the weekend but I’d rather Kart and do test days even if there is no races. The more seat time the better. There was school trip to France that I have backed out of as it would mean me missing test and practice days to important tournaments, it would also mean I’d be tired and not on my game for the races so I decided not to go.
What are your best moments?
I won Most Improved Karter at the Kartmania awards at the end of last season. This was a massive achievement for me. I finished 9th out of 32 entrants in the JKC and it was my first championship so I was really happy with this result
What are your worst moments?
Last season I was having a great weekend at GYG and I unfortunately had a big crash during the final. I was gutted because the race was cancelled from then on. It knocked my confidence a little bit but I did get some good go pro footage from it 🙂
Do you have an interesting backstory (hardship/struggles/amazing achievements)
I am a 14 year old boy who gets to drive a fast Kart most weekends something that most kits don’t get to experience, As i wrote before I won Most Improved Karter at the Kartmania awards at the end of last season and I finished 9th out of 32 entrants in the JKC. Hopefully there’s more of these to come.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I like to think I’m a great dancer! Watch out for my moves in the background once the series airs.
Or maybe they’ll be saved for the out takes!
